This does a great job for connecting XLR microphones to a video camera that only has a 1/8" mic jack. I have been using it for several months now, works perfectly everytime. I like the fact that I can belt clip it to me to keep the unit and cables off of the video camera.

I purchased this from B & H about 5 months ago. Have been using almost every week since then. Works weill, does a great job in converting XLR to 1/8" with no signal loss. I especially like the 1/4" and 1/8" inputs, as I've had to plug in all types of audio inputs into this box.

I make movies frequently as part of an indie film company, but I'm working with a consumer so there is no XLR input for an external microphone. Couple my camera with this and it works perfectly. I love the belt clip because it doesn't pull on the camera. If the boom operator has to walk with the pole and pulls on the cable, it puts stress on my leg, not the camera itself like some other camera mounted versions.

This product is pretty much exactly as it states. Very solid, clean build and sound. My only complaints are the mounting system, belt clip is a little odd and mounting to tripod required third party velcro, etc. Will not accept stereo inputs in 1/4 or 1/8 inputs . . . not even a mono feed through a stereo wire, annoying. Otherwise, works perfectly, sound is clean and very nice, does a good job balancing levels against cameras built in AGC. Definitely recommend compared to BeachTek and others, especially for what you get (price)!!
