Pelican 1660 Case with Foam (Black)
The Pelican 1660 Case with Foam (Black) is an unbreakable, watertight, airtight, dustproof, chemical resistant and corrosion proof hard case used to carry any kind of equipment that needs to be protected from the elements. It is made of Ultra High Impact structural copolymer that makes it extremely strong and durable. It has a 0.25" (6.4 mm) neoprene o-ring, ABS latches that seal perfectly and includes an automatic purge valve for quick equalization after changes in atmospheric pressure.
The 1660 comes with large two person side haul handles, a fold down top handle, a retractable extension handle and strong, built-in polyurethane wheels with stainless steel bearings. It has an effortless release latch for the extension handle. The padlock protectors provide added strength and extra security against cutting and theft.
This case has a 5-piece foam insert set included.

Anyone that has used Pelican products before knows that they are the top of the line as far as shipping/storage containers. These cases do not disappoint. Whether you decide to use the foam inserts or not they are among the best as far as transit cases are concerned. I am very satisfied with the product and very satisfied in the expediency that they were shipped to me. I will use B & H again for the purchase of products due to the price and quality of their products.

I'm using this to carry several LED lights. it is a great case, just really big. So big it is a bit hard to get around. the handle is a little to short in my opinion.

Pelican strength and reliability. It's heavy duty, plenty big, works great. Only thing I don't like is that the side handles have a resistance point built into them, so you have to pull hard on the handles to open them. Don't see the point to that. But good case and compared favorably in price and weight to same size cases from competitors.

Great constuction of case. Nice design of wheels and handles. We use these cases (bought 3 so far) for very expensive lighting and we trust the cases to handle it.

You can use this case for any gear that will fit inside. I purchased the foam with each case (I have 4 of these). After carefully planning out how to arrange the equipment in the cases, you simply pluck out the foam you do not need. I have 10 laptops plus power cables in one case with 3" of foam surrounding each. In another case i have a laser printer and wireless network gear.
I have shipped these all over the world with no fear of damage of the contents. These cases are virtually indestructable. On one occassion one of my cases was actually speared by the forks of a fork lift sometime during it's trip to NY. The case was damaged, but the contents were fine. Oh and Pelican replaced the case for free - they have a lifetime replacement or repair policy!!!!!
