Canare Breakaway Cable for Portable Mixers with Monitor Output 15'
The Canare breakaway cable features dual XLR female and dual XLR male connectors for main audio feeds, to and from field mixers. Stereo 1/8" (3.5mm) mini male connectors provide a secondary option for cameras and audio devices without XLR connectors. A 1/8" female output is provided for headphone monitoring. The cable length is 15' (4.57m).

If you are using a mixer for your audio you are going to need a breakaway cable. Being able to quickly detach from your audio guy with on connection is great. It allows for quick set up and breakdown times. The cable is well made and I have been happy with it so far.

i purchased this cable along with a new wendt x3 mixer for a video p.s.a shoot... after my first sound/boom op job, being tied directly to the camera and not having the ability to adjust my own monitor volume or the gain of the mic pre, i opted to purchase the mixer and this cable. tying in to the mixer and camera were incredibly simple and i couldn't have asked for a better way to control my monitoring, as well as being able to quickly disengage from the camera when it was time to change angles, etc. it wasn't cheap, but it was definitely worth the extra money and will get plenty of use along with the x3.
