Comments about Kino Flo Diva-Lite 400 One Light System Kit (120VAC):
I use diva lights in lots of lighting situations. Whether it be on location or in a studio these lights can do the trick. These Divas are rugged and much quicker to set up than the older standard Kino Flo 2ft 4 bank lights. (Also alot brighter)
If there was an issue with these divas I would say that switching the tubes can be a pain. Also Diva lights have to warm up to speed. Now beyond that, these lights are sweet.

If you're a one man band/small crew, this is worth every penny. Its light, manageable, quick, durable, stable, and able! Good design.
I don't like the louver too much though. it reminds me of the lights that you see in the dentist office. feels like it would shatter if dropped.
Light quality is great! I don't mind the output too much but if you're stopping the f-stop/iris way down, you might need more power. But if you're doing interviews and small medium stuff, it is fantastic!

This is a great light, you can't go wrong with the Diva it can be used so many ways and its great not having to drag around a ballast. That is my favorite part about it not having to mess around with the extra cords. Its quick set up and functions great if you don't mind the price.

I bought this light to shoot a movie shot with a 7D camera. We used LED light panels for the close up work but this Diva lit up the whole block for the long shots and when gelled down could be set for moon light or street light. Ran it off a car battery and 300 watt inverter till the wee hours of the morning. The crew was blown away for that shoot and now ask if the Diva is coming back for the next shoot. Cool, efficient, light, easy to handle. I'm going to get another

Comments about Kino Flo Diva-Lite 400 One Light System Kit (120VAC):
This is a great light. Far superior to a Kino 4' 4bank or 2' 4bank, in my opinion. It's very bright and easy to use, and the built in ballast with dimmer is excellent. The case is nice and it travels well. Sets up and breaks down quickly. Perfect for interviews. The daylight bulbs allow you to shoot in areas with windows and have the correct color temperature. You probably want to get a set of daylight bulbs and a set or tungsten bulbs (either the 3200k or the warmer 2900 k).I did have a problem with one of the units I bought - after burning for an hour or two one of the bulbs started to flicker. I've never seen this before[...] So when you get one be sure to burn it for a few hours immediately to make sure it's functioning properly, but I think this issue is probably rare.If using on a lightweight stand, be sure to get the offset which centers the weight right over the stand. If using a beefy baby stand or similar you don't need one. Also note: when dimmed down it goes a little magenta, so having some 1/8 or 1/4 plus green gel standing by is a good idea.

For doing interviews of faculty n their laboratories it provides a nice even light with a small amount of current drain and no heat. Being able to change from tungsten to daylight bulbs gives great flexibility. So far I am very pleased with it.
