I purchased this set for use with my Celestron Omni 150 XLT reflector telescope. I am just starting out in astronomy and I wanted to supplement the "stock" 25mm Eye piece that came with the scope. I now have a range from 23x to approximately 360x when I use the 2x Barlow lens. The lenses in the set all present sharp, clear images. My only complaint is with the 4mm eyepiece. Due to the tiny aperture, it's a little tricky to acquire your target and keep it in view. The filters work well at enhancing details and bringing out the colors of the planets especially Jupiter.

I bought this with my C8 SGT-XLT scope. I found it so hard to view anything through the eyepieces, so purchased the X-Cel 10mm eyepiece- then the entire range of X-Cel eyepieces. The eyepieces in this kit are cheaper plossl design and quite small meaning that you have to get your eye right up to the end of the eyepiece to see anything. The 4mm eyepiece in this kit was virtually unusable. The case is fantastic.

I live in Mexico, where its hard to find telescope accesories, I was looking all over the place for almost 6 months. I found this amazing kit and instantly bought it the best of all is that the had international shipping. Once I got it, it was as if I had bought a new telescope. The eyepieces and all the filters have been very useful to watch the moon, several planets and even nebulosas. I would really recomend buying this accesory kit.

I bought a Orion SkyQuest XT8 that came with just one eyepiece. This eyepiece set is a must-have addition. Quality, construction, and packaging are all very good. And there's even some extra room to place my other eyepiece with room to spare. Fantastic value for what you get.

After getting only two lenses with my new scope I wanted to see what different powers would do for me. After a quick search on the internet, wow pricey! I found this set and was very pleased to be able to test different powers at a very reasonable price. While the lenses are a bit darker than my others,I love having all the different power options, the case is sturdy-handy,and with all the filters its just a great deal!!

Carrying case is the best part. However, there is little room for adding places to hold other accessories.

I'm using these eyepieces with home-built 8" and kit-built 10" Newtonian reflector telescopes. The optics are first rate: no distortion or chromatic aberration, deep eye relief, and superb clarity. The filters and barlow (where many product skimp) are high quality companion accessories that broaden the usefulness of the entire set.
The case is sturdy and generously padded - I tossed a small LED flashlight in the accessory bay in mine, which has come in very handy.
Overall the eyepieces are of better quality and higher-precision manufacturing than I expected for the price, and the purchasing experience through B&H was first rate.

For the beginner astronomer, this kit provides a range of eyepieces and filters at an affordable price - a good first step before investing in more expensive eyepieces. Information is provided to describe the purpose of each filter and the padded case is worthwhile for the storage of additional eyepieces.

came with useful explanation leaflet and I have found the various filters to enhance viewing just as described. Again the plossl eyepieces are excellent quality and give the viewer a huge variety of viewing option, whether looking at stars or planets, no negative comments here

Comments about Celestron Eyepiece and Filter Kit - 1.25":
I checked the ratings before purchasing this product and was worried that I would not be able to utilize half of the eyepieces (EP). [...] Some of the reviews said that the 4mm EP was too small. I have a Celestron 4SE and had very little problem sighting in with a larger EP and then switching out for the 4mm.The case itself was sturdy and roomy inside. It has enough room and cutouts in the foam to add more EPs if you choose. The filters, ehhh. I'm color blind so I can't really attest to them. I will say that the moon filter really brings out detail. I was skeptical at first. But it really does help with viewing. The Barlow works but cuts down on the brightness. I was hoping I would be able to see detail in the rings of saturn, but to me it just looks like a white sphere with a line through it. I'm sure it has something to do with my scope. The only complaint I have is that you have to open the filter cases to find out which is which. There are no outer markings on them you can see except for the moon filter. Some older reviews said that there was no explanation of the filters. There is included a two sided paper that gives you basics on what to use each filter for and what it does. All-in-all, I am happy that I ordered this kit. B&H photo was the cheapest [...] I am a beginner and still learning basics in astronomy but I would buy this kit again if I had the choice.

Just purchased a telescope [...] now to get to the eyepiece and filter set I bought, again GREAT - EXCELLENT - value for the price. Amazed at the clarity and sharpness. The details of the moon - filtered and non-filtered .. Somethings you just need to see for yourself. That's why I've introduced my family to astronomy.. Yes I'd buy this kit again, and I'll be back to buy much more...Thanks B&H [...]
