The Audio-Technica Right Angle AT8314 Premium Microphone Cable features professional XLR-male to XLR-female Neutrik connectors and is designed specifically for low-impedance microphone signals. The cable is sure to deliver maximum signal transfer and minimum loss due to a combination of its heavy-duty construction, inner and outer protective RF shielding and heavy-duty 24-gauge stranded copper conductors.
Note! The Audio-Technica AT8314 Premium Microphone Cables are intended for low-impedance microphone use. Use only AT8314 series (or like wired) cables when extending multiple XLR cables to avoid phasing issues, signal cancellation and other artifacts.

I use this along with my Canon XH-A1 and a Rode NTG-2. I was honestly very concerned when I first bought this product because I noticed it wouldn't clip when I attached it into the mic. At first I thought it was the XLR but after some research I found out the problem was with the small rubber insert within the microphone itself, so if you have the Rode NTG-2 don't panic just take out the rubber insert and the XLR with click with ease and function just as well.
The XLR itself is great! I love how one end is angled, that way you can point it in different directions to ensure the cable won't get in the way of the camera functions. I initially felt the cable was a tad bit overpriced but honestly I've been very please with it so I don't even care anymore.

I was using this cable to connect my shotgun mic to my Soy Z1U and the cable was too long so I had to wrap it around the handle of the camera to keep it out of the way. I also wish both connections were 90 degree connection. That would have permitted easier loading and unloading into the camera case.
I think I'll spend a little more and get the coiled cord next and see if that's an improvement.
Pros: it is sturdily built and did the job.

This a very good cable. I use it with my AG-HMC150. The angled female connector helps cut down the profile length of the Azden SGM-1X mic I use.

This cable is perfect for adapting the end of the KE-89 wired boom pole to a 6' XLR cable to my field recorder.
With the 90-degree connector, you can set the boom pole down on its end without fear of damaging the XLR cable.

Short enough to where it's not in the way. I've traveled with these products and beat them up pretty good and they held up just fine.

The black cables look nice with my Panasonic DVC80's and work well with the Audio Technica 875 shot gun mic. 1.5' is more than enough cable for most professional cams.

What can I say? It is a short XLR cable. It works. It's sturdy and does what an XLR cable should. I use it to connect Shotgun mics to boom poles or cameras, when mounted. The 90 degree ange lon the female end leaves things more balanced.

This cable and this length is perfect for a DSLR video workflow where a mic is on the hotshoe and the other end connects to a Beachtek box mounted under the camera body. I couldn't do my work without it. Works great.

This cable works very well on my HVX200a. It positions the cable just right when connecting to my shotgun mic that is placed in the on-camera mic holder. But it also has just enough extra to it that when I want to use the other shoe to mount the mic, it will reach.
Plus, I trust the quality of Audio-Technica.
