The Eclipse is an effects processor that contains a full complement of Eventide's signature pitch change, reverb, and special effects program presets, all with uncompromising quality. Delivered in a single rack space unit (the company's first in that configuration,) the unit is still a totally professional product, not a junior edition. Although it's just half the size of the H3000 series Harmonizer units, it contains five times the processing power, and twice the features.

The Eclipse features dual-engine architecture, configurable in series, parallel, stereo or dual mono. It offers easy setup and operation, with an enhanced user interface and a powerful search facility for rapid program/preset selection by category or application. The audio performance is stellar, with 24-bit digital conversion, 96kHz sampling and a signal to noise ratio exceeding 104dB. Digital S/PDIF and AES/EBU I/O, analog balanced and unbalanced I/O and ADAT lightpipe are all supported.

A global tempo feature synchronizes LFOs, delay times, and other time-sensitive parameters to the music being processed, using either incoming MIDI clock, or by tapping the tempo on a the tap tempo button. An arsenal of LFOs, envelope followers, and ADSRs can be patched to any parameter. The Eclipse is built with a heavy-gauge, all metal faceplate, solid, positive-action controls and sharp, bright display. Eventide's famous "knob" and full numeric keypad are included in the new unit, as well as customizable "hot keys" for maximum flexibility and ease of operation.
