This Paterson light stand is aluminum, 4 sections, with sure-twist section locks.
If you forget to tighten any section with your light mounted, the light slowly descends, thanks to the air-cushioning of this stand.
This useful feature saves equipment, and fingers from harm during busy photo sessions.

Comments about Interfit Air Cushioned Stand:
This light stand came in a package when I got my reflector. Since then I have tried other ones I didnt really like, and I think this stand is the perfect balance between the cheap price and solid usability.
Not too cheap, not too expensive.

Comments about Interfit Air Cushioned Stand:
I use this stand in combination with the 570 Stand Flash Shoe for my SB-800. The stand is light, portable, and does not take up much room on the ground. Overall, I am very happy with it. I gave 4 starts because I have not used it for heavier lighting, so I cannot testify to its performance in that area.

Comments about Interfit Air Cushioned Stand:
It's not as smooth as I'd like but it's pretty sturdy for how lightweight it is. I work on location mostly so both factors are important to me. I don't know that I'd buy another one, maybe look around, but I'm happy with the purchase for now.

Comments about Interfit Air Cushioned Stand:
The best I found for the money. I had a pair that served me well when I was using speedlights with umbrellas and later, Dynalite 2050 heads.
However, have moved on to heavier monoblocs (Elinchrom 1200/600RX) and these just did not do the job safely when used with my large litedomes as the combination is literally the max capacity of the stand. Initially, I migrated these to head-only use for accent lights and everything but have since upgraded all my stands to the Matthews Maxi steel stands sold here.
One thing of note is to not tighten the leg locking knob too tightly... I did and it actually bent the tubes so I had to have it loose in order to slide the first section. A minor inconvenience but largely my fault. Either way, I would question the durability in full-professional use.
