This is an original Olympus LI-12B. There is confusion from other sellers since it has the same part #200838 as the LI-10B. The LI-12B supersedes the LI-10B, but some sellers are still sitting on very old stock. Thank you B&H.

I don't know what happened to the original battery? I Farm and Ranch so many pictures taken on a weekly basis. Charged the battery out of the box, took 50 shots worked great.

It's a great small size and recharges fairly quickly. It also lasts for a long time during use, even when using the view feature to check out photos you have taken. I use it on an older Olympus C-7000 Zoom and it works great.

Brand name Olympus batteries are the way to go--even if they cost more. I just bought two replacement batteries for a trip to Hawaii. I charged them both and only used one for the entire 10 days and 350 pictures.
