MaxxBass 102 is a bass enhancement processor from Waves, housed in a half-rack length chassis that improves the bass output of new and existing sound systems, by increasing the perceived bass frequency range by up to one and one half octaves. This allows deeper frequencies to be reproduced on smaller speakers without forcing the speaker to deliver frequencies it normally couldn't.
The unit uses the psycho-acoustic phenomenon of the Missing Fundamental to add specific harmonics to the original audio signal. This effect was originally discovered by organ builders in the 1700s who were trying to deliver deep pedal tones on smaller organs. The unit provides RCA phono connectors and controls include input level, frequency and intensity.
MaxxBass 102 delivers deeper, richer bass without changing amplifiers and speakers in both new and existing sound applications that can include installations in restaurants, retail stores, clubs, portable PAs, houses of worship, sound reinforcement and project studios
