Manfrotto 449SP2 Stainless Steel Retractable Spiked Foot Adapter
The Manfrotto 449SP2 reversible rubber/metal spiked foot converts the 449, 676B, and 694 monopods to a steel tip for firmer footing on soft ground. The spike is made of a special hard anodized aluminum alloy extremely resistant to corrosion. Comes supplied with a dedicated fixing tool.

As is typically of Manfrotto products, this is very well constructed and fit my Manfrotto 3006 monopod perfectly. Only issue is the cost of the item. The spiked foot also includes a very nice T-handle Philips screwdriver. This is an additional item that isn't really needed since any Phillips screwdriver would work. Therefore, the cost of the item could be lowered by not including the screwdriver since the foot is permanent and doesn't require use of a small screwdriver in the field.

Excellent firm fit to tripod. I like best the heavy rubber fitting that screws down when on hard surface, and the spike, for soft surface. . .
