The PDB passive direct box from ART is a roadworthy DI for connection of the outputs of electronic musical instruments (or other audio sources) to the balanced inputs of mixer consoles and other balanced inputs. It also allows for connection of a music source to an instrument amplifier while simultaneously patching it to a mixer.
The unit features switchable input attenuation, a 50k Ω instrument input, 50k Ω parallel link jack, a 600 Ω XLR output jack and a switchable ground lift. It excels at impedance matching and improving the sound of any instrument plugged into it. Enclosed in a rugged steel chassis, it is designed and manufactured to the highest standards to provide years of quiet, reliable performance.

Comments about ART PDB Direct Injection Box:
I tend to disagree with previous reviewer. I have this product and it works great for me. I use it when I have a situation where I am recording from DJ feed that is from their speaker output, usually too loud for line input on digital recorders. It has 3 position pad and ground lift switch. Bullet proof construction, no worries if dropped, not batteries necessary. If you want stereo in and out, you will have to look elsewhere, but DJ speakers are all mono anyway.

Comments about ART PDB Direct Injection Box:
Until you try (or build) a quality direct box, you don't know what you're missing by using the ART PDB. Passive DI boxes are all about the transformer. And the PDB has an awful one. This thing, while functional, and useful in a pinch, will destroy your sound.
It is well worth the money to purchase a quality box that uses a quality transformer.
This thing is build like a steel brick though, but that's all the good that can be said for it.
