Made from the same materials as the standard Cubelite with the added bonus of weather resistant steel, this Lastolite Outdoor Cubelite (3') version has the advantages of a removable base and back, allowing the photographer more versatility for shooting.
The Outdoor Cubelite can be placed directly over the subject or with the back removed it can even be photographed in its natural surroundings with no compromise necessary for lighting or weather conditions.

I photograph custom-made knives for internet sales.
Reviewing the regular Cubelites, I prefer this model because all sides are covered. There are three removable "window" panels; front, back, & bottom, which adds to the versatility of this model.
I like having the removable panels for me to adapt the Cubelite to shooting indoors under continuous lighting or outdoors under sunlight. In addition, there are two removable alligator clips to attach background material, and eye straps on each wall to attach items. Truly, a versatile product.
The Lastolite web-site offers a nice video showing proper folding of the Cubelite to return it to its carrying case. One just need to practice to attain proficiency.
