Great casters if attached permanently
These are great little casters - relatively light weight and compact. They allow a 13' stand with studio light and umbrella to roll around with ease on bare floor and carpet.

These are great little casters - relatively light weight and compact. They allow a 13' stand with studio light and umbrella to roll around with ease on bare floor and carpet.
My only issue is with the little metal plate that sits between the set screw and the leg, which allows the screw to apply even pressure on the leg. If you remove the casters, this little metal plate falls out of the caster and is easily lost on location while packing, etc. If you want these attached permanently, this is no problem. If you want to decide to use them on a shoot by shoot basis, this is a small pita.

kind of sticky
the wheels don't move as freely as I would like, they need some gentle nudging to get them facing in the correct position but make moving a boom a must.

I had been considering these casters for sometime but was always putting off getting them. But I recently read a portion of a book by Scott Kelby and in it he urged his readers to put their lightstands on wheels. And he was right!
What difference it makes. I did not realize how resistent I was to just moving my light a couple of inches but now with these casters I just do it! You should too!

These casters are perfect for the light stands holding our Westcott TD6 Spiderlights with softboxes. No more gingerly picking up the stands to move them; the casters allow us to reposition our lights with ease. A great deal!

Use in garage studio, smooth concrete floor and on location on low pile carpet. Nice wheels, good castings, well made. Just wish they had wheel locks to prevent rolling on uneven smooth floor. Wheel size is ok for hard floor indoor and low pile carpet or smooth concrete outdoors. For Asphalt or rough concrete recommend much larger wheels something like 3"+ so you don't vibrate light head hard while moving stand.

I'm very pleased with these casters. I should have gotten them sooner. Would have been nice if instructions were included. It took me a little while to figure out how to attach them properly.

Using these with a heavy duty light stand for my AB400 with Westcott 50x50 soft box and they work great to be able to reposition the light easily with minimal effort.

The wheels are great. I just think they need to redesign the finger screw so that it sits on the outside of the leg. This would make the stand fold down all the way. Also a brake or stop would be helpful to lock the wheels.

I ordered one set of these for my studio strobes stand and liked them so much I've just ordered another set. They would be perfect if one of them had a locking device on them but all in all a good buy.

Fits the lightstands nicely. Sturdy. Only gave it 4 out of 5 because its not super fast to change them. But, that's minor, really.

I purchased these casters for my Westcott Spiderlites. I was tired of dragging my lights around the studio floor. This set of casters was the perfect thing. Light moves quicker and easier. I also found that when shooting handheld you can just nudge the light with your foot to position it and not have to put your camera down. Good investment.
