Marshall's V-5001 0.040" Aluminum Extender Washer (Black) is an anodized washer used with or without Extension Tubes to adjust the focus on any CCTV system using a 0.5" (1.27 cm) C Mount Camera. They are especially valued in laboratories and test/measurement applications, where the subject is very close to the lens.
Extenders move your lens away from the sensor to improve clarity (or get closer to the working surface in video microscopes). Use Extension Tubes for large focus adjustments, and add individual Extender Washers to fine tune magnification.
