The ULTRA-DI DI20 from Behringer is an active, two-channel DI box and splitter. The unit takes a signal from an unbalanced, high-impedance output and feeds it directly into a mixing console or recorder.
Ideally suited for guitar and bass players, the ULTRA-DI DI20 is also useful in live/studio/broadcast applications, for installation contractors and studios/live event engineers. Multiple modes allow for flexible usage, and can also be used by keyboard players to balance their often unbalanced sources.
Three levels of switchable input attenuation allows input levels of up to +48dBu, while a ground lift switch eliminates typical ground loop problems. The unit can derive power either from a 9V battery or by using 48V phantom power.

Comments about Behringer ULTRA-DI DI20 - Active 2-Channel DI Box/Splitter:
I intended to use this to boost the output from a passive drop-in acoustic guitar pickup. Unfortunately, the amount of gain I needed to use didn't change, but the hiss from the DI box made it unusable.
It does work passably on the high output from a synth, but you have to use the mixer's pad. The attenuator on the DI box wrecks the SNR (unless you have a truly loud source.)
Between electric guitar effects and the amp sounded awful though it might be okay with a bass.

Comments about Behringer ULTRA-DI DI20 - Active 2-Channel DI Box/Splitter:
Works great for connecting a DJ MIDI controller to the balanced input of a powered speaker. You can have stereo with 2 speakers, and run long XLR mike cables. Use a 9V Lithium cell and forget about the battery running low for a while.

Comments about Behringer ULTRA-DI DI20 - Active 2-Channel DI Box/Splitter:
Excellent Quality for an incredible price. I use mostly Behringer gear in my studio and live and have NEVER been let down. These DI boxes are better than some I have used costing a lot more. Robust, easy to use, no problem. BUY THEM!!!

Comments about Behringer ULTRA-DI DI20 - Active 2-Channel DI Box/Splitter:
I use the DI20 with a DJ Mixer that only has unbalanced RCA outputs. I used a dual RCA to 1/4' to connect the mixer to the DI box and then i could connect the box (via XLR outputs) to my powered sub and speakers. It works great and is fast to set up.

Comments about Behringer ULTRA-DI DI20 - Active 2-Channel DI Box/Splitter:
I bought these with the intention of using them as a 2 channel DI. However, regardless of how the link switch was set I always got an output on both XLR's They would work as a splitter box just fine.

Comments about Behringer ULTRA-DI DI20 - Active 2-Channel DI Box/Splitter:
First night of the box, band number one, had two acoustic guitars, both went in to this box and to the board, the bands fans said the sound was so much better, they normally used a on stage amp. Same night Band number two, Keyboard no problem nice to have a PAD switch on the stage
