good fixer for printing. consistant, no problems yet. last a while when printing. I would recommend to use with stop bath with indicator and judge exhaustion with that, or buy an indicator for fixer separately.

My friends and I do amateur B&W photography and DIY developing. We made our own developer, but cheaped out and bought this fixer after we couldn't find the right pool ingredients in town. The fixer worked perfectly, as described. It has all of the info you need to make it on the package itself, and it's Kodak, so it could be trusted from the beginning to be of a high quality. Look no further.As always, B&H is freaking amazing with their prices [...]. I love them. I would probably lend them my car if they called and asked for it with at least an hour's notice.But I don't have a car.

I've always used Kodak fixer (mostly for film) and have never been disappointed. The powder takes a little more time, effort and care than a liquid, but that is a minor inconvienience. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone.

Makes a gallon. Mix it with water, get it to the temp you want to process and and you're ready to go.
I don't seem to get the 'hundred rolls per gallon' that used to be the standard ages ago when I first started processing film. Then again, I use a hypo chek to see if the fixer is exhausted.
When I do printing, I use it 1:1 and dump after a printing session.
If you wonder why film is better than digital, doing your own processing is pretty much it. Nothing like getting a print out of the chemicals to look at or film off a reel to dry and then print. Priceless.

I use this fix for t-max black and white films. It's incredibly easy to mix and to work with. It's great because you can use it for your film processing and your printing. I've gotten great results with this fixer on film, RC and fiber paper. No complaints.

This fixer is pretty cheap, and seems effective as well. Obviously, I haven't seen whether it lasts for the next 100 or so years, so I can't confirm or deny its archiving quality. But I can definitely say that my photos have stayed fixed for the past couple of weeks.
I'd just recommend stirring while you add the powder, otherwise it clumps really fast, and ends up being a pain to take off the bottom of the tray and disintegrate.
