Ultratelephoto photography is easily achieved with your telescope by purchasing this T-mount adapter, along with the SLR camera adapter which works with your telescope. You'll need to take precautions to minimize vibrations, such as locking up the mirror if possible as well as using a cable release or remote control to fire the shutter.
First, remove the eyepiece. Next, attach the SLR camera adapter where the eyepiece would normally be attached to the telescope, and screw in this t-mount adapter to the opposite end of the SLR camera adapter. Now you can attach your camera to the t-mount and you are ready to begin taking pictures!
Note! Your camera will need to be in fully manual exposure mode, although some brands of camera may also work in aperture-priority autoexposure mode. Additionally, if there is a switch on the camera which chooses the focus mode, that switch must indicate manual focusing.

item works well for intended purpose which is to adapt a telescope, or in my case a slide duplicator, to the camera. the mount to lens plane is increased so it will eliminate focusing to infinity with camera lenses. No lens to camera functions are preserved so this is a manual only attachment. construction is solid with a quality finish. the thread adapter can be rotated inside the camera mount by loosening three set screws. this allows proper alignment of camera to lens/telescope, etc.

I bought this to digiscope by connecting my Cannon 7D to my TSN-824 scope [older model]. Though this T-mount is made by Kowa it doesn't fit their scope adapter. One side does fit the Canon 7D. Luckily, the other side that goes to the scope adapter can be removed & I exchanged it w/ the old adapter I had from scope to Minolta. Took a few tries to get it set true & tightened.

Comments about Kowa T-Mount SLR Camera Adapter for Canon EOS:
Adapter works nicely but a few words of installation instruction would have been helpful. The flange provided was too large for my mirror lens and I did not realize I had to remove the smaller, old one from the rear of the lens, then screw the included one on. No biggie, but a little confusing nevertheless.

After trying several of the other, so-called name brand T-Mount Adapters, I finally got around to this one that's made in Japan. It costs a little more, but it is a far better made ring. It is very secure on the camera body, with no "slop". I'd buy Kowa again.

Great T, could be a little tighter fit on the camera, but it doesn't affect use, works well and it's all metal, no plastic.

It is what it is, a camera mount for a Busnell spotting scope. Simple and easy to use. Pops on and off the Canon camera body like all the other lenses for Canon. It feels more heavier and more sturdy than some of the inexpensive mounts.

Comments about Kowa T-Mount SLR Camera Adapter for Canon EOS:
This is a sturdy camera mount, very solidly built. Several mounts were available for about half the price of this mount, but had poor reviews. I wanted quality and spending a few $$ more - about $10 - $15 more - was well worth the peace of mind to have a solidly built camera mount.

I have an 8" SCT scope, and already have an adapter for connecting my older Canon FD mount camera. I replaced the FD adapter with this one, and my new Canon 40D had an 8" scope for a lens. Very cool, very effective.
Fit and finish are very good.
