Kowa enjoys a spectacular reputation of enduring quality internationally, where there are large numbers of nature enthusiasts.
Kowa's line of 60mm spotting scopes represent the best ultra-compact performance scopes with interchangeable eyepieces. Both models offer fully multicoated lenses and nitrogen purging for waterproofed protection. These are finely crafted, exquisite pieces that'll astound you with their quality.
It is entirely a matter of personal preference best determined by experience, but many feel that angled scopes offer a more comfortable position for extended viewing periods. They're usually a bit easier to share amongst multiple users of varying heights as well.

Comments about Kowa TSN-601 2.4"/60mm Spotting Scope (Requires Eyepiece):
With its 45 degrees angled view combined with a long eye relief eyepiece, this scope is great as a shooting scope for prone shooting.
With the right tripod, you can set it up for spotting shots without even lifting your head from the rifle.

Comments about Kowa TSN-601 2.4"/60mm Spotting Scope (Requires Eyepiece):
I purchased this spotter primarily for hunting - my budget was not huge, and mostly I needed something light weight for back country treks that was still capable of producing good image quality. This is the first spotter that I have owned, so I don't really have a baseline to compare it to. Overall, I am quite pleased with it. It is very light, easy to set up, and easy to line up. I enjoy the angled eyepiece a lot, I find it very comfortable to use. The only complaint I have really is that I would have preferred the 66mm objective scope rather than the 60mm - in low light like early morning or late evening scenarios I think the 66mm would perform better. However, I am still quite happy with it overall. The image is still plenty clear enough for me. The fact that it has a lifetime warranty is nice too.
