Ikelite 4100.6 Exposure Value Manual Controller for Ikelite DS Series Strobes
The Ikelite #4100.6 Exposure Value Manual Controller Provides 10 manual power settings in half-stop increments for SubStrobe DS-50 and DS-125 models. The Manual Controller also has a slave sensor allowing it to be triggered by another strobe; or any of the Ikelite sync cords can be attached to the Controller bulkhead.
The Controller attaches to the strobe and mounts near the housing, providing maximum versatility and control of flash exposure. It can be used with normal or pre-flash camera and strobe systems.
A second strobe with a Manual Controller can be set to any desired power and will operate dependably with the built-in slave sensor of the Controller aimed at the subject or the primary strobe; or the Controller can be connected to a dual sync cord. A second strobe with a wireless TTL Slave Sensor will duplicate any manual power level it sees on the primary strobe.

I use the Controller (connected to an Ikelite strobe) for illuminating subjects too far for my camera strobes to reach. Normally my model is holding the combination but it can also be set down and left unattended as in a wreck.
Only thing missing is a premolded hand-hold that can be attached to its existing clasp.

works well, this is my second controller. the first flooded out after several uses. sent first one back to Ikelite to have them fix if possible and determine why it flooded

I use a DS-50 substrobe and had always had troubles in the past with over exposure that I could not compensate for with my digital camera controls. When I decided to order a new digital camera and housing, I discovered the Exposure Valvue Manual Controller. I used it this past week on a dive trip to Nassau both hard wired and using the flash. The very first pictures I took with the whole setup were fantastic! On subsequent dives I experimented with the exterior control dial and was able to easily over or underexpose the flash on my pictures. I would definitely recommend this product!!
