Kodak Professional Ektachrome E100G and E100GX are Kodak's replacements for E100S and E100SW. With E100G and E100GX, Kodak delivers extremely fine grain (rms 8), a lower D-min for whiter, brighter whites, and an improved tone scale. These films offer advancements in Kodak's Color Amplifying Technology and that were not found in the E100s/E100SW and allow you to capture light more efficiently.

In addition Kodak T-Grain Emulsion Ektachrome E100G Film offers moderately enhanced color saturation with a neutral color balance. Ektachrome 100GX film also features moderately enhanced color saturation, but with a warm balance (the "X" is for warm).

Both films produce exceptional results for advertising, fashion, editorial, architecture, nature/wildlife, and other commercial applications. These films are designed for exposure with daylight or electronic flash.

High-Efficiency T-Grain Emulsion Technology
Extremely fine grain, remarkably detailed scans, greater enlargements
Lower D-min
Whiter, brighter whites
Lower Contrast Tone Scale
Extended tonal range from highlights to shadows, improved highlight and shadow detail
Matched Color Records For A Neutral Tone Scale
Pleasing, natural skin tone reproduction, consistent grayscale rendition throughout tonal range
Outstanding reciprocity
No speed or color compensation required for exposures from 1/10,000 to 10 seconds
Image Archivability
Dark storage image stability of at least 80 years, images can be accessed for further use many years into the future
Type 4 x 5" color slide film
Speed ISO 100
Applications Advertising, portraiture, nature/wildlife and other commercial applications
Process Process E-6
Color Saturation High - Brighter whites, and an improved tone scale
Grain Fine grain
Sharpness High
Exposure Latitude Narrow
Push/Pull You can increase the effective speed (i.e., push) of E100G and E100GX films by adjusting the first developer time. Increased film speed is useful under dim lighting conditions, or when you need high shutter speeds to stop action or small lens openings for increased depth of field. You can also use a short push to slightly increase contrast, sharpen highlights, or compensate for underexposure. A recommended starting point for E100G or E100GX Films is to underexpose by 1 stop (EI 200) for a push 1 process (8 minutes in the first developer).

        Comments about Kodak E100G 4x5" 10 Sheets:

Neutral color palette and luminance range does not distort colors as other films. Tonal range is zone 4 to 7 with 1/3 to 1/2 exposure value per zone based on subject luminance. Push and pull processing results good, too, without color shift. Use it with confidence

Great tonality; scans well! I formerly used Provia 100 for shooting artwork; this is a very good replacement.

              Comments about Kodak E100G 4x5" 10 Sheets:

While I shoot mostly digitally, I still use 4x5 film when I need large display images, especially when I've got a room full of judges in black robes and in dark wood courtroom. Kodak has continued to improve their film offerings, even in this day of growing digital photography. E100G holds onto the detail I need in those black robes and dark wood, while treating the various skin tones beautifully.

                Comments about Kodak E100G 4x5" 10 Sheets:

E100G has been a favorite of mine in medium format and the large format version produces brilliant images on the light table. Blues, greens and even browns are well beyond typical monitor coverage. Skin tones remain accurate. Watch out for tungsten lighting since it goes way red on skin. Outside photos on a sunny day with the subject in the shade are incomparable. Watch for the wonderful green grass, blue skies and pure white clouds.

This film is a favorite of mine. I shoot it in 35mm, 120, and now 4X5. Awesome across the board. I highly reccomend it over the highly highly saturated Fuji films.

Great film with fine grain. I don't like overly saturated films like fuji velvia or e100s so I used to shoot EPP. I like the color accuracy (especially blues) and saturation of this film better though.
