Leica Duovid 10/15x50 are the first premium binocular to feature such switchable magnifications. This is a beast of brilliant optics, starting with great 10x intimacy and springing all the way to 15x when one has enough available light to afford the smaller exit pupil. Great for big game hunters.
High-powered binoculars are difficult to hold steady by hand; a monopod(and a tripod adapter if not included with the binocular) with an incorporated fluid pan/tilt head or with such a head attached between the monopod and the binocular is highly recommended.

Comments about Leica 10/15x50 Duovid Binocular (Black):
I use the 10/15x50 Leica Duovid binocular for wildlife surveys, including burrowing owl surveys in open country and across large distances. The binoculars are great for focusing up close, helping me find the nearby owls that are difficult to see while they peak only their eyes and ears above the grass. I use 10x to scan for animals far away, and 15x to end any doubt about species identification.
While scoping out binoculars, I heard warnings about the binocular's heavy weight, high price, need for bracing while using 15x, and lack of HD glass. However, I've had no problem holding the binos steady at 15x, though bracing them is always a good idea, even at 10x, and the same applies to all binos. The weight is not an issue for me, and these binos were worth the price. I'm very happy I bought these binoculars.

very happy with the leica duovid 10+15x50 binoculars purchased recently.I use them for hunting deer so the binos are perfect because they are so versitile.Being 2 sets of binos in 1 I use them for glassing from distances on 15 power, then when stalking in thick cover on 10 power.
Comments about Leica 10/15x50 Duovid Binocular (Black):
I purchased these from B&H a few years ago, and have been on 3 safaris since. I have yet to find any binoculars I prefer to these. They are awesome in low light conditions too. I truly appreciate being able to use 10x to scan, and 15x for larger magnification once I have located my target (birds or animals). When I am done, they can be washed with mild soap and water too. Sharing these between the four of us [family] has always been a problem, and so I purchased a pair of Nikon Monarchs as a second pair from B&H. No regrets or second thoughts with the duovids.

Awesome Wonderful Great just a few words that describe the Leica 10/15X50 Duovid Binocular. I am not and expert but I know what I can see. And having used a few other Binoculars I can tell you that Leica knows what is needed in a quality Binocular. The Leica 10/15X50 Duovid Binocular is not advertised as a low light binocular but it sure can do a very good job in low light viewing. In normal lighting IMHO no other binocular even comes even close to it's view quality and ease of use.The build quality is without a doubt as strong as a truck there is nothing lacking with this binocular you notice the quality as soon as you pick them up and everytime you look through them you just never stop thinking how did I ever get along without it this long.
