Comments about Sennheiser PXC 250 Noise Canceling Headphone:
I bought this primarily for airline and subway travel, and the noise canceling feature works extremely well. The phones and carrying case are well-designed: lightweight, easily foldable, comfortable, and it looks like everything would stand some hard handling. Sound quality is excellent ( I'm fussy since my primary sounds are orchestral, think Mahler ), but only if the noise canceling feature is activated. Yes, it still works without that feature being activated, but, at greatly reduced dynamic range. My only other criticism would be a less bulky mechanism/case to handle the batteries. Summing up, great sound in very affordable, comfortable package!

Comments about Sennheiser PXC 250 Noise Canceling Headphone:
These headphones are very comfortable to wear and the stereo sound is excellent when used with an MP3 or ipod player. The noise cancelling capability is limited because they do not cover the entire ear. However, if portability is a priority, I prefer these to over the ear headphones.

These cans are a great addition to our office
that is in our bedroom. The Noise canceling works
as advertised. The sonic fidelity should satisfy
most people. I especially like them listening to
YOU TUBE AND HD MOVIES ON LAPTOPS OR OUR PLASMA TVS.
A GREAT VALUE FOR THE MONEY. JUST DON'T EXPECT THEM TO BE $300.00 BOSE CANS. They aren't.

Comments about Sennheiser PXC 250 Noise Canceling Headphone:
I bought these headphones to protect my hearing when riding the subway. It is dangerous to try to overpower the noise of the train, but millions of us do it everyday. The difference with these headphones is astounding. You can really hear much better and at a lower volume. I even listen to classical music now on the train, which previously was impossible. I compared these in the store to the 300s, which are supposedly more advanced, but I did not notice a discernable difference so I purchased the 250 model and am very pleased with it.

Comments about Sennheiser PXC 250 Noise Canceling Headphone:
Use these primarily for flying and train commute. Noise reduction is as good/better than the Sony ones these replaced, but (even with battery pack - which is pretty big and somewhat awkward) are much more compact and very comfortable on long flights. Battery life is better than I expected as well. I like that these work fine with NR switched off. The wires are a bit stiff, but other than that, I've found these to be a tremendous value.

Comments about Sennheiser PXC 250 Noise Canceling Headphone:
These are great headphones not only sonically, but for effective noise canceling and portability. I originally bought these for airplane travel--not wanting to shell out for the overpriced and bulky Bose products. While I only travel about once a month, the headphone case is small enough to live permanently inside my briefcase. I also use them for editing video in the field as well as previewing audio when producing live events. I've had several A1's comment favorably about these headphones. The only downside is the cigar shaped battery holder / noise canceling component, but it is way better than having huge ear muffs. My wife keeps borrowing mine so I just bought another pair.

Comments about Sennheiser PXC 250 Noise Canceling Headphone:
I use them daily on my commute to work via state van pool. They block out both the vehicle and road noise as well as the other passengers. I can set the volume low and get sound that is very clear and crisp.
My ipod even fits comfortably in the case with the headphones.
A different material for the cord would be the only improvement I would suggest as it becomes very stiff on cold days when I walk the two blocks from the van drop off to work.

Comments about Sennheiser PXC 250 Noise Canceling Headphone:
Great, for all the reasons everyone else gave. My only complaint is about that darned separate battery pack. The battery pack makes these headphones inconvenient for the gym. I suppose you could still use them at the gym, but you better make some kind of arrangment.

The music seems to be very clear and crisp for all the instruments. They are light weight but I thought the sound canceling device was in an odd place in the middle of the cord.

I have just ordered a set of 300's as I am due!!! My 250's have flown over 700,000 air miles, stayed in countless hotel rooms, airport lounges and have rented more rental cars then I can count. My 250's have stood the test of time, abuse, misuse; they have been dropped, sat on, stepped on, rained and snowed upon, stolen once (yes...and even recovered)other then that they have seen no action!!!
These headphones are truly amazing and I WAS always a huge fan of Bose...until I tried a friends 250's 4 years ago. I was sold and I would recommend these to anybody who wants great sound and a set that is not cumbersome. The other great advantage is the fact that they fold very flat and small taking up very little space in my computer bag.

My work set finally went out after years of service. Had another set for home use which turned into the work set and had to have one for home again. Very comfortable. Work great for flying too.

These headphones are great for travelling, especially for airplanes.
Very good value.
I bought a set of these 1 1/2 years ago. I carry them in my laptop case when I fly. I lost the original set, and missed them so much that I bought another set of the same model. Great value when compared to other brands.

Comments about Sennheiser PXC 250 Noise Canceling Headphone:
I have had my PXC250 for over 3 years and more than 400,000 air miles!!! These headphones have been sat on, dropped, crushed, beaten, flogged, abused, misused, thrown, flung, and then some. After all that abuse the only problem is that I have worn the finish off the ear pads and now my only problem is the burning question of should I just buy a new set and give the old ones to my girlfriend or should I just replace the pads? I think I am going to get another pair of the same set!!!Yes I have tried others but the performance in an aircraft showed little or no difference, the 250’s are extremely convenient because of the way they fold up and take no space in a brief case. I also store my MP3 player in the same case along with 2 extra sets of batteries, the adapter, a pencil and numerous other things that get lost in a brief case.
You cannot go wrong with this item!!!

Comments about Sennheiser PXC 250 Noise Canceling Headphone:
I purchased these PXC250s about three weeks ago and not once do I regret this purchase. I did a lot of research before making this purchase and I am glad that I did. The PXC 250 headphones from Sennheiser perform beautifully, are small, light, mobile and a great bang for the buck! I love listening to them even when I am not around a lot of noise, but when I am around a lot of noise they step it up and silence the noise around me. I have been impressed with all my Sennheiser products. I have a pair of PMX-70 headphones for excercising that are the best I have ever tried for exercising. Both the PXC-250s and the PMX-70s sounded a little sluggish and tight on my head when first using them, but as I have used them more and more I have been very impressed as they loosened up and started performing better and better. Trust me, you can't go wrond with a set of Sennheisers!
