I lost my AC power adapter for my Canon HV20 and bought this to replace it. I would suggest that you pay the extra money to replace the lost or broken adapter with a real Canon version rather than risking it with a lesser quality knock-off.

This is the standard charger that is included with the HV30. PLEASE DONT BUY THOSE CHEAP "OFF-BRAND CHARGERS. Get the real deal. This charger works perfect and keeps my HD camera running!
