Most current, professional flash heads and monolights are equipped with user replaceable flashtubes that may simply be plugged into, and unplugged from their sockets. With proper handling, these flashtubes may last for tens of thousands of flashes under normal use.

Comments about Bowens Flashtube:
Bought for my esprit 500DX. So this is my 3rd tube. 1st one I got melted plastic residue so I got a replacement. Didn't fit on the right connector. Tried drilling the hole bigger only to end up breaking the tube. Bought a second one. I had to open up my head to fix some loose screws and sand down some plastic residue. I tore a fitting leaf off the male plug and it fit perfectly. You may have to do the same for this tube. Don't know if these new ones were machined right or wrong.
