I have been looking for this product for 16 years! Ever since I got my home in Southern Vermont I have only been able to receive one FM station. And this was with a powered, directional FM antenna. My home is set in a very low hollow amongst the peaks, (OK, low mountains) of Sothern Vermont, with no direct line of site to any transmition towers. I installed the antenna on the outside of my home and ran the cable down two floors to the receiver. I did not use the enclosed power booster, because I did not want the power drain, nor the need to have to switch the unit on and off. I am not an overly exuberant person, and skew much more to the pesimistic, hesitant side. That is why I will, without hesitation, recomend this Antenna with all five stars, no hesitation, and tell you it has gotten me the reception I have longed for for all these years.

I live in a small town sixty miles from the closest metropolitan area. I bought the antenna hoping to improve my fm reception [...]Nada, two local stations barely audible same as the wire loop antenna that came with my receiver. I haven't tried it outside as yet, because I need a longer coax and water proof extention cord. So far I feel like I have wasted my money.

Comments about Terk Technologies FM-50 FM PRO Amplified Indoor/Outdoor FM Antenna:
Bought the Terk FM Pro antenna to receive hybrid-digital FM broadcast from 40 miles away over mountainous terrain. Easily set the Terk in the same place (over kitchen cabinets) as the original simple dipole antenna that came with the radio receiver and found significant improvement in reception. Connection between the Terk and the radio was made using coaxial cable with F-style female connections at each end. Cable not supplied with the Terk, but readily available in variety of lengths.

Comments about Terk Technologies FM-50 FM PRO Amplified Indoor/Outdoor FM Antenna:
I purchased this antenna so that I can listen to a Public Radio Station that is 70 miles away in Kansas City. It does a pretty good job considering the distance. It took some trial and error to find the best location in my house. I have it installed on a wall on the first floor. Some days the signal is very clear. On other days there is static, but that is probably due to the weather. The clearest signal occurs with the amplifier OFF, although that cuts out the stereo signal.

i had to fabricate a bracket to mount it to my antenna tower rotator pole so it could be used with a rotator to tune in stations. it is not omnidirectional.no considerations were made to mount this antenna other than the side of your house. it has to be rotated to work properly

Comments about Terk Technologies FM-50 FM PRO Amplified Indoor/Outdoor FM Antenna:
Replaced a large Yagi type FM antenna on roof with motorized rotor on a high mast. The Terk antenna mounts conveniently within reach. Pulls in all the stations as well as large roof mount Yagi. Simple to connect and attractive unobtrusive appearance and design. I am most pleased with the product and B&H service -[...]. A very good value and a quality product.

Whenever one of my clients have poor FM reception I use one of these extended up to their attic and it resolves the poor reception problem every time! The key is extending it to the attic over a coax cable, preferably over Quad Shielded coax.

I live in a center apartment of an apartment complex and had been unable to get any FM signals into my reciever. I tried everything; antennas, amplified antennass, FM traps, and wires strung all over the place and nothing worked or it was extremely staticky, unappealling audio. The minute I plugged this in stations started to come in crystal clear. If you want to bring in FM stations this is highly suggested. A bit pricey but worth the cost. At first I was going to purchase it but because of the lenght I was put off at first, but the design is not bad at all.

We're far enough away from Pittsburgh that listening to my favorite stations, like WYEP and WDUQ was spotty at best. It is one of the downsides of moving away from the city, this and the lack of good restaurants. I tried other powered/unpowered antennas but to no avail. This one works! I have the cable split and running to multiple radios throughout the house! We can now listen to our favorite stations again!!

my office is in an old industrial building with a tin roof, we got almost no station despite being only 7 miles from boston. once this antenna was installed outside, we get every station clear enough to receive rds (when available). i was skeptical at first cause some past experience with terk antennas but this one totally delivers.

Using ours in the middle of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado. Radio reception with a stock stereo antenna is hit and miss. Mountains get in the way. After using this equipment I would agree with description. "TERK's FM Pro is a high-performance indoor/outdoor antenna engineered for superb FM reception over long distances".
