Originally used as exposure / composition test, I have found a more powerful use for this product.
Recently at a photo shooting, I had a couple having the time of their lives at the studio. They were really enjoying the photo shooting.
Besides shooting digital, I usually shot a few rolls of B&W negative film on 120 mm. Everyone loves the results.
While shooting with my Bronica on film, I mounted my polaroid back just for the good ol' times. When I pulled the pola print out of my camera, everyone in the studio was impressed by having a picture instantly out of something that was not digital.
COOL!

I use this with a Polaroid back on my medium format camera. I have used the Polaroid product for many years and have gotten used to it. I find this film does not have as good a tonal range and is quite a bit more contrasty. It appears to be far better now than when I first tried it about 3 years ago - both then and now I have compared it with the Polaroid product on an identical scene shot at an instant apart with the identical exposure and the same equipment. My previous encounter found the film unusable. This time the two "prints" were much closer, but the smaller tonal range and the higher contrast in the Fuji product were still evident. They must have changed their process/formula over the past few years. However, given the choices, this is a reasonable replacement film as a proofing tool. I'm glad to have it.

The film works wonders in my Polaroid 340 land camera. I wish it wasn't so expensive — but I think it's worth it. The quality is really lovely.

I had my reservations about this film, but it turned out to he really good... almost better than the film it replaced. It's also reasonably priced. I plan to continue using my pack camera now.

This is really helpful for visualizing lighting effects before exposing to negative film. It's also a lot of fun to be able to make instant images on your MF or LF camera. This is really great film.

If you have pack film cameras or backs and still want to use them, there aren't many choices left. Fortunately, this is a good one.
I still have many Polaroid pack cameras in good working condition. Although I use mostly digital, I still have that Polaroid Passion! Much more intimate and working with this film requires you to slow down and think. Which can be a needed relief from banging away on the DSLR. And instant photography is novel again, now that a generation have grown up without it.

This is real fun stuff for taking snapshots with a medium format camera and testing exposure. The "negative" from it, although it requires some work to be usable, is also a nice addition for alt. process stuff. Very contrasty though compared to film.

I had trouble using this with a Polaroid film holder. The pull tabs are very flimsy and tore easily. The film jams easily. This had never happened to me with Polaroid film. I was using a Polaroid film holder attached to a pinhole camera.
