I am glad that we still have instant film for technical adjustments (etc.), but this film is not nearly as good as the old Polaroid in one very important respect-- it is very soft focusing. I can easily scan the old film to an 11x14, but this fujifilm stuff lacks a lot of detail.
Too bad there is no choice. Still, it works well for test shots.

Fuji FP-100c is a superb daylight balanced color instant print film that is useful in proofing lighting and exposure. Flesh tones are rendered beautifully and accurately with rich color saturation. When shooting commercials, I will send FP100-c prints to the colorist as reference on how to handle the color timing of each set-up. The best thing about this print film is it is analog! (until you scan it, of course)

I use this in a Sinar 4x5 in a Fuji PA-45 back. It is a little desaturated but is very sharp. I think it is slightly faster than ISO 100 (125 or 160, perhaps...). It scans very well, and B&W conversions look very close to the scans I used to get from FP-100b.
That this stuff is still available and at this price is a blessing to those of us who still shoot the stuff.

the color grain is really nice. One thing I wish is that Fuji still had 100B-45 films availiable.

What a pleasure to get a nice "polaroid" test shot when shoting 4X5.
I like the fact that this Fuji pack is really forgiving if you forget to peel the image exactly when the developing time is over. I often shoot a couple before exposing my chromes and I'm not always super tight about developing times but I still get really accurate results and consistency.
I really like the tonal range and low saturation of this film, it has a quite interesting look. the creamy whites I get with it when shooting with strobes is also really nice.
Like any other polaroid, it has it's own look and that's what we like about it am I right?
The only sad thing these days is that we can't choose between different types of instant films for different looks.

This film is great to shoot for proof. Every now and then i have a particular scene that i need to if the tonal range is even throughout the picture and this film shows me a good range of it. Although it may not be accurate in exact detail as to film c-41, it is a beginning to where i can shoot with bracketting. also scanning is great for this film as well.

Very nice quality film, creamy colors and not too contrasty. The only real cons I can think of are the images are a little soft, but it's instant film so this is expected, and I wish it didn't cost an arm and a leg.

Since the demise of Polaroid instant films FP-100C has become irreplaceable. The colours are vibrant and true to life. I see very little colour shifts. And the self terminating feature allows you to stick photos in you pocket and peel them later.

Comments about Fujifilm FP-100C Professional Instant Color Film ISO 100:
I currently just began using this product for a book assignment given to me for school. I am a Junior Photography major attending University of The Arts in Philadelphia, PA.
I'm shooting a series of polaroids of my family posing as hunters with hand-made animals, from cardboard, spray paint, tape, old clothes, etc. These polaroids will eventually be scanned in and sent to a book binding company.
I enjoy using the 4x5 polaroids because they are an instant photograph to work from and perfect my set-up as I shoot, instead of blindly clicking the cable release. Especially when I am working on several other assignments for school, they provide the quickness of digital, while still being physical and film.
They are also a great tool to keep in your pocket for a quick light test for other mediums of shooting.
The only thing I must complain about is the little amount of images/the price, which will most likely not alter, since our economic condition has showed no signs of healing soon and also the rarity of polaroids now-a-days.
I will continue to use this product, but I wont complain if the price does drop.

This product was used in studio with a view camera and strobes. Exposure time suggested on the film sheet was darker than what our digital test files showed so we opened the aperture 1 stop and then the exposure was right on the money. Colors were beautiful on this film!

Comments about Fujifilm FP-100C Professional Instant Color Film ISO 100:
FP-100c45 is a larger size film (4x5) and should only be used with cameras that are made for it. Many of the Polaroid Land Cameras are too small for FP-100c45, and its better to go with the regular FP-100c. In my case I'm using Fuji's PA-45 film holder for a 4x5 view camera, where it works fine.
In any case, FP-100c and FP-100c45 are high quality instant films. They work with pack film cameras and holders. The print quality is fantastic, much clearer and cleaner than the original Polaroid. I've seen a few people comment about the loss of 'nostagia' compared to the original Polaroid film, but I disagree. Sure its different, the stuff has its own look and feel, but the colors are rich and well balanced, and details are wonderful.
