As advertised - I only rated 4 stars as Pentax should have included it with the camera since it's not a standard connection on the camera end - just a way to eat up [$] - but not as grossly overpriced as some of the Pentax stuff.

These cables let to hook the camera to any TV or monitor with A/V inputs. I use it to shoot video because it was difficult to make sure the frame was in focus on a 3" DSLR screen.
However, plugging into a monitor does deactivate the DSLR display screen. It is a trade-off, but having the ability to access a much larger display is a very useful option to have. Nice product!
