The DI-1000 from BBE is a dual-function direct inject box that can function as a fully passive device, or as an active DI. Perfect for live touring applications and recording studios, the unit delivers excellent results with active or passive bass guitars, keyboards, and both acoustic and electric guitars.
A pad switch is used to select gain range and when switched to -30dB, the DI can accept the speaker level output of an instrument amplifier. In passive mode the unit functions strictly as an impedance matching device. In active mode, the user has the option of switching in the Sonic Maximizer circuit, with control over the amount of phase correction and amount of phase corrected bass frequencies.
The DI-1000 provides a "thru" output that allows for outputting the source to an external instrument amplifier, in addition to the main feed that is sent to a mixer or recorder. The XLR output utilizes a Jensen JT-DB-EP transformer.
