This Century Precision Optics 0WA-8XLC-00 0.8x Wide Angle Converter Lens is for Canon and Fujinon 18x, 19x and 20x broadcast lenses. The wide angle coefficient is 0.8x, which delivers a 20% wider angle than the stock lens. When added to an 8.5-119mm lens the converter alters the focal length range to 7-98mm. This is especially advantageous when shooting in tight spaces. This lens has full zoom through.

Comments about Century Precision Optics 0WA-8XLC-00 0.8x Wide Angle Converter Lens:
I originally wrote up a good review on the adapter and also recommended the sunshade, but after using the sunshade more extensively I have come to realize that it slightly vignettes on the edges of the lens. I use the wide angle and the Century Precision Optics 0FA8XLCII Sunshade with the Panasonic HPX-370 with the stock Fujinon 17x4.5 lens.
The Sunshade vignettes slightly on both sides of the edge of frame.

Comments about Century Precision Optics 0WA-8XLC-00 0.8x Wide Angle Converter Lens:
The converter gives a much wider angle, creating more dynamic shots and it's fully zoom-thru. It is easy to take on and off with the twist of a screw.
It's heavy and bulky which makes the camera a little front heavy, but what do you expect.
Not a problem for me, but one should know that there are no threads at the front of the converter to attach screw-on filters...probably because of vignetting problems.
If you want to protect the front element of the lens with a clear or UV filter, you must purchase the Century Optics sunshade/matte box that that uses a 4x4 filter. My biggest problem with the system is that the filter holder will not rotate for the use of polarizers and grad filters.
4x4 filters and the holders are expensive, so it's hard to invest in these accessories when the filter can't rotate.
