I recently purchased the 6-in-1 reflector kit after the zipper broke on my Westcott Pro Basics 5-in-1 reflector. The 6-in-1 is definitely more expensive, and (so far) I haven't had any issues with zippers breaking. Gold/Silver reflectors are used for fill light, and what's nice about the 6-in-1 is that it also includes a diffusion panel, handy when you're trying to remove dappled sunlight from your images. If there is anything that makes me nuts, it's trying to get the thing back in the bag! You almost have to practice folding this beast, and I find that not thinking about how to fold it is often the best way to ensure you fold it correctly. Definitely watch a video tutorial on folding, prior to using...because it will frustrate you!! Finally, it's challenging to shoot and hold this reflector at the same time. You'll want to bring a friend or assistant to help you direct the light where you want it to go.

I used a couple of these reflectors last weekend on a family and a HS senior photo shoot on a beach. The reflectors worked well. I especially like the gold/silver combination (sunlight) panel.
The panels were easy to use and change on the frame. The zipper seems to be a good quality and the storage bag prevented me from getting everything all sandy. The rectangular shape allowed me to prop the relector against a tripod and not roll away. I had minimal problems in refolding the frame to fit in the storage bag, as it uses the same "pop-up" concept as other photography and camping equipment that I already own. The DVD included with the kit contains some very good information.

I love everything about these reflectors! They are so easy to use. I love the size when open and how easily they collapse into an easier to carry around size. The covers are very easy to change too. SO glad to have purchased these!

They appear to be exactly what I hoped for but without folding instructions I found it difficult to get them folded back. Why wouldn't they put something as basic as that in there? I can't even find instructions to do that anywhere on the internet.

Very nice quality. They do what they should at a pro level. However, when I got them home I opened one of them and I wasn't able to close it!! I didn't want to brake it, so I was just afraid to fold it without any instructions.I couldn't figure out how to put them back on its original folded way. The kit comes with a cool DVD but it does not tell you how to fold them back!!No instructions whatsoever on the matter.So I had my silver gold reflector open in my living room for about 3 weeks. This is very well constructed. I've had no trouble folding it up...one hand foward and one hand backwards on each side, twist, and it folds right up! I haven't used all the colors yet. The only thing it may be missing is a white side but I haven't had the need for it. If it included the white, I would have given it a 5 for sure.

I went above budget to purchase this reflector, and I'm glad I did. For the price it's turned out to be the best investment I could ever make. I prefer natural lighting in my shoots and I refuse to buy studio lighting. This reflector produces the right about of reflected light in any situation I've encountered. It's very versatile and a great accessory for shooting outdoors. My suggestion is practice folding it at the store with a salesman.[...]

I picked this up for the simple fact that I didn't own any type of reflector. I needed one for an upcoming shoot which took place outdoors.

I like the fact that it actually comes with two (2) separate diffusion panels. Convenient if you need to diffuse light and bounce/reflect light at the same time. The gold/silver combo creates such a great looking glow to skin tones, not to warm, and not to cold...it's perfect.

Folding it back into its compact form is simple.

This product worked great right out of the box. I used the reflector on a sunset engagement photo shoot at the beach. It really improved the lighting in a more natural way than a flash. Easy to use and light weight.

I have only used the reflector for outdoor portraits so far, but it does wonders projecting a nice, soft fill light back onto the subject. The versatility of the product is wonderful; having six options at your fingertips to choose from is great! It takes a little getting used when folding it back up, but once you get the hang of it, there's nothing to it! Awesome product!

This is truly a versatile reflector. I like the fact that they included a black one for use as a gobo. The other colors especially the silver/gold for the summer look are really nice. However, it does take time to learn how to refold it to put it away in the zippered cover that comes with it.

I use the 6-in-1 for both indoor portrait photography as a reflector and outdoors, primarily to diffuse light that is playing tricks on my subject. It works great for both. The really great thing with the 6-in-1 is that you get two disks so you have a lot more flexibility. I've been quite happy with the quality and expect to receive many years of great usage.
