Comments about Behringer V-AMP PRO Guitar Amp Modeler and Multi-Effects Processor:
The presets that come with this unit definitely needed some tweaking to use with the rest of my gear. I bought it for use when recording, have it hooked up to a Fast Track Ultra 8R. Bit confusing trying to figure out how I wanted to get the sound signal out but that's because there are so many choices. XLR, TS, TRS, S/PDIF, etc. Overall, I believe this unit will end up producing some pretty good sounds, you just need to spend the time with it to tweak it for your setup. Build quality is pretty decent given that it's going to live in one place as I have no plans to use it in a live setting. This is the third piece of Behringer equipmnet I've bought (FCB1010 and BCF2000 are the others) and I will probably buy more of their equipment in the future. Given that the price is very reasonable I'd recommend giving it a try. I would give it 3 1/2 stars if I could and I can see giving it a 4 if it works as well as I think it will once I learn the nuances of all the setup functions available.

I've been using the V-AMP PRO in my home studio. The SPDIF connection works great and the recording quality going into Cubase 5.x is amazing. I've owned it for about 3 years and have not had any problems with it. I also use a BOSS GT-8. For the price and sound quality you really can't go wrong.
