Comments about Sony HVL-F32X Flash:
Works well with alkaline batteries if you don't mind buying them often. Rechargeable batteries don't seem to work, even the 2500mAh. [...]
Comments about Sony HVL-F32X Flash:
Want to light up a room? This is the flash. Unlike these add on flashes that are barely better the the on camera units, the HVL-F32X is a real flash with power to spare. The only drawbacks are nobody has made an adapter to use a Quantum battery so you can shoot all night without changing batteries and sunpak doesn't make an cord that will allow you to hook this flash up to a stroboframe. Shooting verticals causes the dreaded side shadow due to it's on camera mounting. This flash is a drastic improvement over previous external units. I use it with the DSC-V3.
Problems Encountered: It drains batteries fairly quickly. Hey-it puts out. Anything that puts out that much light is bound to use up batteries quickly.
Items I Recommend: The stofen flash cover. Really softens the light.
