Panasonic AW-SW350 Compact Switcher with 5 Video Inputs for Convertible Camera System

The Panasonic AW-SW350 is a compact video switcher that has 5 video inputs and performs wipes, mixes and auto-take functions. The switcher can be used in the field because it operates on a 12 Volt power supply. For fiels use the unit requires an AC adapter. The AW-PS505 is recommended and sold separately. The built-in frame synchronizer makes external sync or Genlock unnecessary. The switcher outputs black burst signals so it is also compatible with systems that require Genlock. Additionally, the unit integrates color bars, tally signals and intercom inputs and outputs for easy system configuration.

5 Video Inputs
Even though the AW-SW350 is relatively small for a full-featured switcher, it still offers 5 BNC inputs with look-through outputs. It also has 5 S-video inputs also for devices, which offer this higher quality signal. Additionally, input #5 can be switched to the internal color bar generator.
Auto-Take Feature
Apart from manual wipe and mix transitions performed with the T-bar wipe lever, the unit has an auto take function for automatic wipe and mixes. Transition times can be adjusted with a control knob on the panel.
