A word of caution, these binoculars tend to be out ofcollimation when you receive them, so it is best to havethem checked in the store or collimate them yourself if youknow how. That said, they are of pretty good quality not topof the line, but for my needs quite suitable. If you arelooking for a good pair of binoculars for the value thesewould be them.

Comments about Celestron 20x80 SkyMaster Binocular:
So far I have only been able to use these in a VERY urban setting, but last night was clear enough to see quite a bit. The field of view just fits Orion's belt inside to give an idea of what to expect. These binoculars get heavy, so resting them against a window or mounting them to a tripod are necessary for extended viewing. I was able to see the Pleiades last night and was able to pick out a 8.05 magnitude star. I bought these to learn the sky a bit before investing in a telescope and am very satisfied with them so far.

Comments about Celestron 20x80 SkyMaster Binocular:
I purchased these binoculars for some amatuer star gazing. They have been absolutely stellar. After mounting to my camera tripod they have been splendid tools for sighting. The binoculars are surprisingly light for thier size and have been equally as fun and useful for sighting during the daylight hours. The lense caps tend to fall off to easliy and the carry bag could be a little more robust with better clasps. With that said though I bought the Binoculars for sighting not carrying and I had always intended to mount them to a tripod. The supplied neck strap is decent anyway so even off the mount they transport pretty well despite thier size....and they are Huge ,quite a little conversation piece...I reccomend Moon viewing with these for sure ,absolutely stunning.

Where 7x50 binoculars leave off, the Celestron 20x80s bring faint objects to life.

Comments about Celestron 20x80 SkyMaster Binocular:
I purchased a pair of these binoculars for use as a "spotting scope" to be used in shooting competitions. I took them to a major match last weekend, and they worked like a dream. Many other competitors took a look through them and were also very impressed with the brightness and clarity of the images (able to see .22 bullet holes easily at 100 meters). These are a superb value. You will need a good tripod to support them, they are heavy.

Comments about Celestron 20x80 SkyMaster Binocular:
We just use this to look out our back across a bay that's about a mile across. It provides a very good view of most objects that far. I like to check out the fishermen in the main channel about 1/2 mile and see if the fish are biting. It focuses in very nicely, just a little hazy at the extreme distances. When we ordered, I didn't realize it was so big, so make sure you pay attention to that and it is heavy so long term viewing may get weary. The tripod mount helps in that department.

Comments about Celestron 20x80 SkyMaster Binocular:
Good magnification, decent clarity for day-time use, hard to focus stars, probably best to focus at infinity during the day. Some chromatic fringing, but for [$]... not bad.

Good for viewing the moon, but not really powerful enough for the stars. It's probably good for viewing wildlife during the day, but I haven't done that.

I live on the beach in Cape Canaveral and I watch the Cruise Ships, Rocket and Shuttle Launches as well as looking at the Stars on clear nights.
These binoculars are a great buy and you won't be disappointed.
They are big and heavy and at 20X you will need a tripod to REALLY enjoy the view. That's not a complaint it's a fact! So, if you are going to buy sometihing this big make sure you do yourself a favor and use a tripod.

There were no collimation issues with this binocular. It worked fine right out of the box. The price is cheap for a 80mm. So far, I'm happy with it.

Comments about Celestron 20x80 SkyMaster Binocular:
After reading literally scores of reviews on high powered binoculars,I decides to give the Skymaster 20x80 a try. Yes,they are a little heavy and a bit bulky, but that is because of their quality and the fact that no binocular this size should be used without a tripod. I never imagined that I could get this much quality for [$].I used an old camcorder tripod that I easily extended with pvc pipe. They are warranted for life.I am completely satisfied with the price, performance, quality and warranty.

We live on lake and wanted to be able to view the wildlife up close. These binocs deliver! Because they are heavy (I can't hold them for long without bracing against something), I used the built-in connector to put them on a tripod. They're supposed to be great for stargazing, but I haven't tried that yet.

Comments about Celestron 20x80 SkyMaster Binocular:
I am strictly an amateur stargazer. I love the binoculars and all the extra stars they bring in. It was amazing to see Jupiter's four moons. If you plan on good viewing, you need to invest a little extra money in a tripod because using the binoculars hand-held causes objects to dance around because of the weight of the binoculars. Even with the added cost of the tripod, you will still have a great viewing tool at a good price.

Comments about Celestron 20x80 SkyMaster Binocular:
I had a pair of Celestron's 15x70 and my eyes took several seconds to see just one image. Other people thought they were just fine. I did like their light gathering power. I saw a lot of good reviews for the 20x80's. So, more or less thinking I'd, probably, have collmination problems, I bought them. What a surprise. They're awesome. No collmination problems. I use them for astronomy. The moons of Jupiter seem to glow. These binoculars are big, but very light. You can hold them for scanning, but at 20 power they're better on a tripod.

- Very Good field of view
- Very Good magnification
- Be sure to buy and/or use a heavy/stable tripod to lessen the 'shake'
while viewing any objects. Try what you have first but be willing to buy something heavier if yours doesn't work.

Our entire family loves our Sky Master. Our five year old twins have been able to see the skies when we put it on a tripod. It is easy to use, and one of the best bargains. We cannot as this time saying anything is not so great! Kansas has lot of clear skies so it is very wonderful to have it here.
