I use this to clamp down my paper backdrop, to prevent it from unrolling. Its also strong enough to hold a large reflector in place. It requires some strength to open, for example, my girlfriend can't open it with a single hand. The soft rubber tips are a good addition to prevent markings or creases. I used to use paper clips and other stationary tools from [...] to do the same job. Just buy these, they are really cheap and they just work.I purchased two.

Not much to say, you just need it for some stands.
see below the one I bought it for.
BH recommeds a pair, now I think I would be better at least 4! Cause with seamless paper, you get a V shape on your background when using just 2!!!
a problem is you have to be somewhat strong in your hands to use it! Not a problem for me. But I am sure there would be all kinds of people using it, and not everyone can handle this hand effort!!
So, "ergonomically speaking", not so good.

This isn't anything different than the clamps you can pick up at the hardware store.

Works great for clamping. :) I need to use them a little more to break them in. I don't have the strongest hands and find it difficult to squeeze them as wide open as I sometimes need to without using both hands. Unfortunately when clamping something I often only have one free hand.

I used this clip Once and the orange plastic tip already fell off. It's also very hard to use. You have to have really strong hands to squeeze it and get it to open.

I realize clamps need to hold things in place, but I can't use these clamps because I can't open them wide enough. So, if you're a woman, you may want to figure out another way to clamp things down. Plus, one of the orange edge protectors was not present with the few clamps I bought.

These clips hold really well, but must of been made only for man hands to open. I feel like I am squeezing a had muscle builder trying to get these things open. With that said...they do grip well and hold heavy fabrics well. I am overall happy with thim...just need stronger hands to use them.

I like these clips as they give a strong hold, and the price was right!
I imagine it will last a long time, but can't vouch for that (yet).

These are the same clamps you can buy at a local hardware store, and I'm not sure they need to be included the in the kit, at least for my purposes.

Great to hang backdrops on backdrop support kits...also thinking of using it to hold a reflector to a pole. A little hard to open -- takes some strength!
