GGI FireWire-800 9-pin to 6-pin DV Cable - 6 ft
This FireWire-800 9-pin to 6-pin 6-foot cable will connect two IEEE 1394-compliant components for real-time, multiple-stream transfers. Ideally suited for high-bandwith transfers, this cable will connect DV devices and FireWire hard drives to FireWire- or i-Link-equipped computers or other IEEE-1394 peripherals with serial bus or PCI cards.
Note: For IEEE 1394b cables, 15 feet is the maximum distance of safe cable construction. For longer distances use a compliant FireWire repeater.

Same problems as others. Will not work on any of our Macs (don't know if this is a mac only problem...probably not). We did get 1 out of 12 to work but that one came in different packaging (a ziplock bag instead of shrinkwrapped)

This did not work with my computer system. IMac 2.16 Intel. I returned it and am in the process of finding one that does work. Not sure why but I am sure it was the cable since the hard drive and computer are both fine

I bought it because the new MBPs lack a firewire 400 port. It did not work with my Belkin firewire hub and when I plugged it into my Mac the machine would shutdown immediately.
