Celestron's 16x32 UpClose binocular is an entry-level roof prism model suitable for children or those who don't want to worry about their binocular.
High-powered binoculars are difficult to hold steady by hand; a monopod(and a tripod adapter if not included with the binocular) with an incorporated fluid pan/tilt head or with such a head attached between the monopod and the binocular is highly recommended.

Comments about Celestron 16x32 UpClose Binocular:
MY NUMBER ONE BINOS ARE CELESTRON SKYMASTER 8X56. HOWEVER, ON SAFARI A FEW MONTHS AGO I FOUND, ON A COUPLE OF OCCASSIONS, I NEEDED A LITTLE MORE REACH. THESE WILL GIVE ME MORE REACH ON THOSE FEW OCCASSIONS. 16 MAGNIFICATION IS HARD TO FOCUS, SOMETIMES, BUT, AGAIN, THESE ARE NOT FOR DAY IN, DAY OUT USE. JUST THOSE FEW LONG DISTANCE THINGS YOU WANT TO SEE. THE PRICE FROM B&H CAN'T BE BEAT. DELIVERY WAS FAST.

Comments about Celestron 16x32 UpClose Binocular:
This product was purchased because of the quality of their up close 10x25 model I just bought and I wanted to try a higher magnification. The 10x model has better optical quality than this 16x model (perhaps because of the shape the glass is cut for the higher magnification). This unit is noticeably larger and more difficult to adjust and hold focus properly. The lenses are slightly off focus regardless of how many attempts are made to focus them with the diopter. At this cost, it is difficult to complain too much for the overall quality Vs its minimal price. If I could do it over again, I should have just bought another UpClose 10x or saved up for a 100+ dollar binoculars of Nikon or Leupold brand.
