The BEC-light post is designed to work with the Anton Bauer UL-2. This post is 2 1/2 inches high from the camera's 1/4-20 mount. Raising the Light housing to this height eliminates the chance of shadows and flat lighting. And by getting the UL-2 light up higher and away from the shoulder strap there is a less of a chance of damage to the light base.
