This is a Lowel DV Creator 1 Kit, LB-30 Case. This three-light kit combines Lowel's most popular tungsten-halogen fixtures with barndoors, an umbrella, gel frame, gels, flex arm, light stands and an LB-30 soft kit case.
With its high intensity #2 reflector and prismatic glass, the tiny focusable Pro-light is more efficient than a Fresnel of equal wattage, yet it gives an exquisite even light, with Fresnel-like shadow quality. It can be used as a low-level key or accent light, fill light (with diffusion), or backlight.
The wide focusing range of the Omni-light makes it a flexible key or backlight. Add diffusion or an umbrella, and it's a soft fill source.
Compact, rugged and versatile, the broad-throw Tota-light can be used with its umbrella or gel-frame and diffusion as a soft key, fill, or backlight. With its adjustable reflectors, it can be a smooth and even background light, or, point it toward the ceiling to raise the ambient (base) light level of a room. Tota-lights are also widely used for photographic copy work.
Although this kit comes supplied for 120V AC use, it may be fitted for use with other voltages, with the appropriate bulbs and plug adapters -- sold separately.

The DV Creator 1 kit is wonderful. A good sampling of Lowel's products, it includes two powerful lights for one or two person interviews, and one great little hair light. It's much more than a starter kit; it's a great foundation for your lighting needs.
The difference between starting with Lowel and starting with a less expensive kit can be daunting, but the Lowel package will grow with you as you expand your repertoire, while kits at half the price will have to be replaced completely.
The quality of the kit is extraordinary. The stands are stable and easy to set up, the lights are clean and crisp, the light output is steady and consistent, and the case holds all the kit components -- a remarkable feat!

This is a solid light kit for starters offering key tools and amazing quality lights.
I only wish the case was slightly larger. There is not a large enough dedicated space for gels and tough spun, and all three tripods with the umbrella start pushing the limit of what can fit comfortably in the case.
I'm not impressed with zipper. I might have been better off with the hard case version of all this.
Lights themselves deserve 4 stars, but paying extra for a kit and case that leaves some left to be desired, well, that loses a star.

Comments about Lowel DV Creator 1 Kit, LB-30 Case:
The kit is compact and ready for travel. The three diverse lights offer flexibility for lighting semi-large rooms too intimate portraits. But you must remember it is not for detail lighting. Its a kit for general lighting situations. The added accessories are a plus and the price is right.

We use this product for our video production. We are using the lights for interviews and so far they've worked out great. Good, solid product. Make sure to get sandbags though to weight them down because they can tip over as they are top heavy.

Comments about Lowel DV Creator 1 Kit, LB-30 Case:
Needed a simple, flexible, portable light kit to video tape one and two person interviews.
Great
1) Flexible, a lot of options in lighting materials
2) Everything fits into a small and light case.
3) Kit includes everything you need to get started.
Not so great
1) I had a bulb go out within 5 minutes of turning a light fixture on. I barely touched the light and it was gone. I've since order two sets of replacement bulbs for all the lights.
2) Instructions didn't completely explain how to use some of the accessories.
3) Lights do put out a lot of light so it can get hot really quick if you set-up in a small location.

Comments about Lowel DV Creator 1 Kit, LB-30 Case:
This kit is so versatile and compact you can bring it along on any size production and always find great ways to use.
I am a corporate and event videographer and have used this to light interviews, demos, commercials and weddings.
Between the 3 lights, you have a sampling of multiple light styles for all production situations.
The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the case is not quite right for this kit. It fits all the pieces, but it's extremely snug and will sometimes leave you cramming things back into place after a shoot. A slightly larger case would be better for this kit.

Comments about Lowel DV Creator 1 Kit, LB-30 Case:
This light kit is constituted of 3 complimentary lights that will suit any videographer with the perfect equipment for on-the-go interview shooting. I was happily surprised with the small size and light weight of the whole kit. I've only owned the system for a few weeks, but from the several interviews I've already shot, this setup is a winner.
