The AKG KM259/5 Extra Low Profile Tripod is specially designed for bass drums or other special uses. Constructed as a one-piece pole with a cast iron base, the very short and heavy legs provide maximum stability. The KM259/5 comes complete with an adjustable boom.

      Has a pretty heavy weight to it, even when holding heavy condensers its not going down easily, seems like it will last a very long time, K&M has the best mic stands i have found.

        This is the finest mic tripod we have ever seen. VERY sturdy and adjustable for any possible position. We really like the fact that this tripod has some "weight" to it. If we had a lightweight, flimsy one, it would get kicked around and damages more, not to mention, the damage to the mic. THIS IS ONE STURDY PIECE OF MACHINERY !!!
