Remote Audio CABETACM4 - 20' Betacam Breakaway Cable 12 Pin Hirose Quick Release Connector for PSC M-4A+ and Wendt X4 Mixers
From Remote Audio, this 20-foot Betacam Breakaway cable eliminates the need for excess cable and clutter by incorporating mixer output connections and headphone monitoring I/O in a single line. The cable features a 12-pin Hirose output connector for use with the PSC M-4A+ and Wendt X4 Mixers, dual XLR connectors attach to the inputs on professional Betacams. A mini 1/8" (3.5mm) headphone monitor line is also provided.

Comments about Remote Audio CABETACM4 - 20' Betacam Breakaway Cable:
The breakaway cable is essential gear for EFP and ENG applications when you want really good audio. We purchased this cable to connect our Wendt X4 mixer to our Sony V1U rig. We love the ability to have our sound engineer AND our camera operator monitor field audio. The cable also enables us to record redundant audio via a digital field audio recorder and the camera's audio track.
What's the downside? There doesn't appear to be any way to connect external power (via a power distribution system) to the Wendt X4, since the hirose connector is occupied with the cable. I wish the manufacturer had allowed a hirose pigtail to be included in the cable system to allow for external power.
Still, the cable is well made and an excellent solution...if you have lots of AA batteries for your field mixer.
