Comments about Remote Audio Stereo 1/8" Mini Output Cable - with -50dB Microphone Pad:
Sends acceptable quality sound from my Marantz PMD 661 to my Canon T2i that makes it easier to sync in post, which is all I bought it for. Sometimes the audio from the internal DLSR mic was so bad that that it made it difficult to sync. I've heard of some users getting broadcast sound quality on their DSLR's using these attenuator cables to transmit audio from recorders via audio controls available with Magic Lantern and others.

Comments about Remote Audio Stereo 1/8" Mini Output Cable - with -50dB Microphone Pad:
I usually shoot with dual-system sound (T2i and Tascam DR100), synchronizing the audio from each in my NLE. I already have a fantastic Sennheiser ME80 shotgun mic which I use along with other wired and wireless mics to capture sound into the DAR, so rather than buy another separate, on-camera shotgun mic for the DSLR, I found this cable to feed the line out signal from the DAR into the "mic in" on the camera. That way I not only have good quality waveforms to use for sync, but I have decent (albeit with the camera's AGC) audio for quick rough edits. Also, when using wireless mics, often a camera-mounted mic won't have the audio needed for synchronization. So this cable is the perfect solution. Before I saw that B&H had such a cable with the integrated line>mic pad, I was running audio through a series of big and awkward audio adapters (1/8">1/4">xlr>xlr line pad>xlr>1/4">1/8" whew!) This was heavy for run & gun work and looked really hokey. I was really concerned what clients must've thought.[...]

Comments about Remote Audio Stereo 1/8" Mini Output Cable - with -50dB Microphone Pad:
Works as advertised. I use this between Zoom H1 and Canon 5D2 for video. Makes it much easier to get the sound levels correct; knocks down the incoming signal quite a bit. You can setup the audio between the two devices in several ways: 1) leave both on auto (not recomended), 2) set camera auto, H1 fixed, 3) set camera fixed, H1 auto, or 4) leave both on manual fixed levels. Whats nice about having an external mic, is you can easily adjust the external mic on the fly as needed without having to dig into a menu.

Comments about Remote Audio Stereo 1/8" Mini Output Cable - with -50dB Microphone Pad:
This one wire solved a half dozen problems that had me pulling all my hair out for days. It allowed me to route high quality audio from a professional recorder's line out to the microphone input on my video camera. Not only do I now get perfectly balance reference audio attached to my video tracks, but the audio on the recorder itself is now pretty great. In several cases, it's negated the need to synch audio and video in post. I couldn't be more pleased and never thought a single wire could solve so many issues. Highly recommended for DSLR users syncing audio from a Tascam DR-100 (like me) or Zoom H4n. I've even used to to pump high quality sound through the mic in put of my little Kodak Zi8 with incredible results.

This pad does the trick of converting consumer line level to microphone level.
