The Panasonic AW-DU600 is a special adapter box for using RS-232C equipment with old-style dial-up telephone connections. With the use of a public telephone line, you can remotely control the camera and pan/tilt head using the AW-RP501 series and a personal computer. Several sets of equipment may be controlled with the box's distribution function. The AW-PS300 power supply is required.
Dial-Up Connection Control
The AW-DU600 allows a Convertible Camera System to be remotely controlled from virtually anywhere in the world. A AW-RP501 control panel (required) can take control of pan/tilt head movement as well as lens zoom, focus and iris functions. The Dial-Up box sends the RS-232C control information along a standard dial-up telephone connection.
Distribution Amplifier Function
The AW-DU600 can be used to control up to five sets of equipment. The unit has a distribution amplifier feature that can switch among several sets of pan/tilt Convertible Camera systems.
