This is a great product for smooth shots in the field, especially if you shoot solo most of the time. It's difficult to get the track even on rough surfaces, but this is a difficult task for any track, and can be solved with a variety of support pieces. 1x4 and 2x4 10" wood blocks, along with roofing wedges does the trick.

I love how the tracks fold into a suitcase. At first, the tracks are a bit tricky to unfold and fold. After watching a video tutorial online, setting up the tracks was easy. Works better than PVC pipes, but costs way more. The tracks are very smooth. I would purchase this product again.

I bought the indie dolly for a couple of reasons... one being that you can pack up the dolly and the track into suitcases and easily travel with the whole system.

Each straight track suitcase comes with 12 feet of track and is fairly secure when stowed away.

I heard from a lot of people that setting up the track can be tricky if you are not familiar with this product, and sure enough, I was a little confused and turned around when I first tried to set it all up. There is no instruction manual included with the dolly system, but there are helpful videos available online at the Indie Dolly website. I downloaded them and put them on my cell phone so I could watch them while I was actually setting everything up. I highly recommend doing this. I watched the video on my phone and then immediately mimicked what I saw. That did the trick.

Now that I have some experience with the system, setting it up is easy and second nature.
