I replaced the same machine with the exception that this one has a remote. I loved it for years and love this one even more. It's a great dependable , excellent technology. I just might buy another and keep it for the future when such technology will disappear. Really excellent in every way.

We use the 6-disc player to hear the music of the 40s-60s, a great time of the century with greater musical artists than you find today.
The most difficult thing during installation was programming our Harmony 890 to access the player.
Don't like the idea that idea of being REQUIRED
to do anything in my own home with equipment I have purchased for my own use.

I was excited and happy to receive your email about my experience with B & H as I love to tell my story. After researching the repair of my Pioneer 6 disc CD changer for which I still had the manual and the original sales receipt dated in l985 at a now closed electronics store; I ended up continuing my search for a similar model to accommodate the outdated disc cartridge. I eventually found B&H with the lowest price [...] I was still skeptic that the model would not be the same to accommodate my outdated cartridges. I also do not feel comfortable purchasing online, sight unseen, except for the photo. [...] when connected was perfect with a much better sound than the old one. And the best - the cartridges fit perfectly. [...] I would not hesitate to purchase again and hope I can do so in the near future. Thanks again I am so satisfied.

Casual listening. I am not an audiophile. The unit is generally satisfactory. I am giving four stars purely because of the size and quality of the remote. After using a number of other remotes this is a let down.

Where was this player years ago?
I had so much trouble with my previous player/recorder that this unit is a blessing. The reviews that I read before buying were right on target. This is money well spent.
