The Double Platinum Rock Piano in Roland format features a famous vintage Steinway B piano, custom rebuilt and maintained strictly for studio recording. Its contribution to Rock history is etched in stone, having been used on multi-platinum records from Elton John and Tom Petty to Carl Perkins and Johnny Cash. When using the samples, the piano will not get lost in the mix, particularly in a rock context and doesn't require tons of EQ, compression and effects to be heard. Its natural brightness and depth helps it blend in while still retaining stereo imaging.
The Double Platinum Rock Piano library contains samples of all 88-keys, chromatically sampled with three velocities, looped and non-looped. The samples were recorded straight to digital on a vintage Neve console in Sound City's studio A. Engineer Paul Grupp used his years of experience to get phase-perfect stereo microphone placement to capture the best two-fisted piano sound.
