The RU-OSC4A from RDL is a multi-frequency, test tone generator that is ideal for installations where either manual and/or automatic audio reference tones are required. The unit features four separate audio oscillators, operating at 100Hz, 1kHz, 7.5kHz and 15kHz. A silent period between the 15kHz tone and the 100Hz tone provides an interval to check system noise levels.
The RU-OSC4A powers up in the silent position and automatically begins sequencing. The sequencing rate is set using a front panel trimmer, and can be adjusted from three seconds, up to thirty seconds. Automatic sequencing is suspended by pushing the HOLD button. Pushing the HOLD button again causes sequencing to resume. Each time the HOLD button is pushed, the next frequency is selected, thereby providing fully manual operation.
Front-panel LEDs indicate which frequency is currently being generated. Audio switching in the unit is solid-state (no mechanical switching) to provide optimum reliability and long-term, noise-free performance. Output connections are made on the rear panel through full-size barrier block terminals.
