Manfrotto 528XB Heavy-Duty 1-Stage Tripod Legs (Black) - Supports 110 lbs
With a maximum load capacity of 110 lbs, the Manfrotto 528XB heavy-duty video tripod is built to handle really heavy loads, and ideal for supporting camera jib arms. Despite its obvious strength, however, a close inspection reveals that this tripod offers quite a bit of brains and good looks to go along with its brawn.
The 528XB incorporates a fully adjustable mid-level spreader, which features telescopic ratchet braces that click into place in each of the preset positions for faster deployment. It also features an industry-standard 100mm bowl to accept 100mm half-ball video heads, and reversible leg ends which have rubber feet as well as stainless-steel spikes, for use in virtually any environment.
- Construction
- Constructed from black stainless steel tubes and aluminum leg extensions. It utilizes a sturdy single-tube leg structure with an adjustable leg spread. The leg spread also incorporates a 30° locked position for faster set-up and greater strength.
- 100mm Bowl
- Industry standard 100mm bowl accepts 100mm half-ball video heads and allows the user to level the head quickly and easily for smooth, accurate panoramic work. In addition, the built-in 100mm-claw ball allows for use of the tripod even with heads not equipped with a half-ball.
- Mid-Level Spreader
- Incorporates a fully adjustable mid-level spreader, which features telescopic ratchet braces that click into place in each of the preset positions for faster deployment. The braces can be immediately set, allowing each leg to be individually positioned for maximum stability. The tripod's wing nut style locking system further ensures its stability once setup is complete.
- Reversible Leg Ends
- The 528XB is designed to accommodate heavy loads in virtually any environment. This is evident in the reversible leg ends, which have rubber feet for use on smooth floors, as well as stainless steel spikes for use on uneven terrain.

The tripod will be used to support the Glide cam crane. Like that the half bowl can be leveled. Legs not only lock into place but also has pegs to lock legs for added safety, don't need a camera crashing to the ground if a presser lock does not hold. Works great when panning camera, extremely sturdy. Rubber capped legs or can be converted to use spike on legs, reversible nothing to lose as parts go. Any would using a portable jib arm should consider this tripod leg works very good

I recently purchased an EZ FX jib and this product is heavy duty enough to handle the payload. I greatly appreciate the pins for leg adjustments with the wing nut locks for extra sturdiness. (Make certain the pins point inward).
